Dirks is a globally recognised expert in tattoo inks, a board member of the European Society of Tattoo and Pigment Research (ESTP), a member of the BfR Commission for Tattoo Inks, and an expert for the EU Commission on tattoos and permanent make-up.
He has been developing tattoo and PMU inks for over 20 years. In his presentation, he explains the
chemistry behind pigmentation inks in an understandable way and without complicated
technical jargon.
Vesna Bekic
For more than 22 years, Vesna Bekic has been shaping the development of lip pigmentation. As an absolute luminary in her field, she combines decades of practical experience with a deep understanding of pigments, skin, and healing processes. Her unparalleled knowledge is unrivaled in the PMU industry.
In her lecture, she demonstrates how you can specifically control your results – not through rigid instructions, but through genuine understanding.
Dr. Steffen Schubert
Dr. Steffen Schubert, diploma biologist,
doctorate in molecular medicine and one of the leading German experts for contact allergies in the tattoo and PMU sector.
Together with the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), the
University of Münster and the Information Network of Dermatology Clinics (IVDK), he has been researching allergic reactions to pigments and tattoo inks for years and advises expert committees on toxicological
issues.

Understanding Pigment Colors. Working Safer. Pigmenting Better.

Among other things, you will learn: • what differences exist between tattoo and PMU pigments, • what the REACH regulation means for your daily work, • how to identify legal and high-quality pigmentation colors, • why pigments heal differently, • which ingredients and impurities play a role, • how to professionally deal with unwanted skin reactions, • and how to best protect yourself legally and professionally in your studio day-to-day. Of course, there will be plenty of time for your questions. In a joint roundtable discussion, we will address the topics that truly concern you in your daily studio work.

Understanding lip pigmentation – instead of just memorizing techniques.

You will learn, among other things, how to: select pigments purposefully, consciously influence opacity and color depth, correctly use organic, inorganic, and hybrid pigments, optimally coordinate skin, technique, machine, stroke, and needles, safely pigment difficult lips, and better predict healing results. After the lecture, it's hands-on: together you will analyze pigments, create mixtures, and test different working methods directly on the machine. You will recognize how even small changes can sustainably improve your pigment implantation and your results.

Allergology for Tattoo and PMU Artists

How do you differentiate an allergy from an infection? What does a known nickel or hair dye allergy mean for a PMU treatment? And how can you avoid allergic reactions during the consultation? In this lecture, you will learn: • how contact allergies develop, • which ingredients can trigger allergic reactions, • how to reliably distinguish allergies from infections or other skin reactions, • the role of consultation, documentation, and medical history, • how useful allergy tests really are, • and how to sustainably minimize risk for your clients. Scientifically sound - and immediately applicable.
